Conservation in Action 2013
From delicate historic photos to crumbling statues, we have it all at Dyrham. This year Linda and the house team will be developing a monthly plan of 'conservation in action' activities and events that will give you and visitors a chance to discover more about what we do in the National Trust to care for the thousands of items in our collections.
Last year we trialled this style of engagement by cleaning the swords, spears, prints and guns. Whilst Room Guiding in a room where there is such an event taking place, you might have the chance to get your hands dirty, or if you prefer, tell the visitors all about it so we can get on and clean something.
If you have a particular interest in a part of the collection, speak to Linda about helping with some of these events.
